12.11.2009 NIPAS law changes approved in House THE HOUSE of Representatives approved on third and final reading on Tuesday a bill that would allow environmentally protected areas to keep three-fourths of their income to sustain their status, amending the National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS) law.
House Bill 6719, authored by Negros Oriental Rep. George P. Arnaiz (2nd district), removes from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources the authority to use the same amount of revenue share for the NIPAS.
